QS Associate - Electronic Batch Record Data Entry (PA, Mainland)

Basic Job Functions:

This position will be a member of the implementation team of the Master Control Electronic Batch Record (EBR) system. This includes the configuration, customization and integrity of data entered into the EBR system.. Additionally, this position is responsible for troubleshooting and elevating issues to ensure problem resolution are elevated to Accupac Management.

This position will collaborate with internal Subject Matter Experts (e.g. Analytical, Manufacturing, Packaging and Quality and IT personnel). Additionally, this role will work with vendor based consultants to ensure continued operation of the EBRs system. This role requires strong computer skills as well as problem solving skills.

Essential Functions of the Job:

  • Work with Manufacturing, Packaging and Quality to implement transfer of master batch records into the EBRs system.
  • Transfer data from hard copy to digital format.
  • Document and assist users in defining business requirements, process maps and use cases.
  • Maintain tracker of progress of configuration work.
  • Investigate feature requests, clarify user requirements and objectives, understand software functionality and recommend appropriate solutions to meet implementation timelines.
  • Verify data integrity and functional integrity testing.
  • Proactively raise technology related risks, issues, and opportunities.
  • Support the organization in maintaining a work environment focused on quality, fosters learning, respect, open communication, collaboration, integration, and teamwork.

Project Manager (PA, Mainland)

Basic Job Functions:

The Project Manager is responsible to ensure that Accupac, Inc. is providing its Customers with the best possible service in meeting their contract manufacturing and packaging needs. They must work with their assigned Customers and the other areas of the company (Validation, Stability, APR, Scheduling, Sales, QA, Document Control, Manufactruring and Packaging)  to see projects are completed on time, with the correct quantity, and within Customer specifications.  This position is also responsible to be the main communications link between the Customer and Accupac.  Finally, the Project Manager is responsible for higher level planning and management of new Projects at Accupac.

Essential Functions of the Job:

  • Must have detailed knowledge of all aspects of their Customer’s business.
  • Maintain Follow-Up files on all Customer Service issues relating to their customers.
  • Administer all systems aspects of their Customer’s projects including entering of Sales Orders, Part Numbers, Bills of Materials, Formula, Pricing, etc.
  • Communicate Customer requirements to the rest of the organization via email, written communication, and pre, prior, and post production meetings.
  • Keep the Sr. Director of Project Management and the Manager of Customer Support up to date on progress of their accounts.
  • Issue a summary report to their Customers outlining the status of their orders in the agreed upon timeframe.
  • Follow-up on all materials needed to produce their Customer’s orders to support Production.
  • Control Customer projects from order origination to final approval and shipment per Customer specifications.
  • Communicate Customer priorities to all outlying deparments effected by the project.
  • Work with Quality Assurance Group to ensure products are being made to Customer specification. 
  • Direct Materials Group in dispositioning excess and obsolete materials.
  • Report monthly on orders completed, non conformances, materials not on B.O.M. or S.O., QA issues, visitors, customer specialty data, accomplishments and initiatives.
  • Report at weekly Project Summary Meeting on status of their accounts.
  • Maintenance of Customer files.
  • Research and solve Customer Service problems, proactively initiate assistance, when necessary, and track progress until final resolution is achieved.   
  • Evaluate, initiate and conduct and follow-up on meetings with Customers and within Accupac.
  • Develop and distribute Job Orders describing Customer projects for the rest of the organization.
  • Make sure that all inventory, quality and procedural requirements for production have been met the Wednesday before production.
  • Conduct Conference Calls with Customers, summarize, and follow-up.
  • The Project Manager should exercise good judgment in resolving issues which arise as a part of day to day interaction with internal and external customers.
  • Responsible for maintaining Accupac’s meeting of Customer measurements.

Facilities Maintenance (NJ, Lakewood)

Basic Job Functions:

Under direct supervision, maintains cleanliness, orderliness and safety of the facility and properly disposes of waste. Observes Standard Operating Procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices in the performance of work.

 

Essential Functions of the Job:

  • Maintain area and equipment in Recycling Room in a neat and orderly manner.
  • Bale cardboard by placing in baler, operating that equipment and then placing completed unit onto pallet.
  • Dispose of trash gathered from the facility. Empty trash bins into compactor and operate compactor in a safe manner.
  • Clean trash bins as required.
  • Paint facility, equipment, etc. as assigned by Supervisor.
  • Assist in furniture moving as required.
  • Repair both interior and exterior wall damage as necessary.
  • Maintain outside of facility for cleanliness. Sweep driveways and walkways. Rake wooded and grassy areas to keep them free of trash or refuse.
  • Clean factory floors bi-weekly. Operates floor cleaning and waxing equipment.
  • Repaint production line floor markings as needed.
  • Replace light bulbs throughout the facility as needed.
  • Responsible to accomplish repairs o miscellaneous facility items including bathroom fixtures, office furniture, lunchroom equipment and laboratory equipment.
  • Collect recyclables from office and dispose of properly.
  • Assist in equipment movements as needed.
  • Ensure the facility entrance/exit areas are clear and safe in inclement weather. Shovel snow and salt walkways as needed.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

 

Packaging Line Worker (NJ, Lakewood)

Basic Job Functions:

Responsible to assist the Team Leader in line operations that are necessary to ensure consistent flow of the packaging process and housekeeping in a safe manner. Responsible for maintaining personal safety. Responsible for communicating safety concerns to the Team Leader/Management. Able to perform all menial activities required to maintain the efficient operation of production. Is formally trained in identifying key quality requirements on product which includes cosmetic and aesthetic defects. Also able to perform quality inline inspections such as label placement and code presence. Able to assist in the purgation and cleaning of the machinery at the end of a packaging campaign. Able to perform material handling requirements and ensure that the cleanliness of the line is in control.

Sanitizer (PA, Mainland)

1st Shift: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Pay Rate: $17/hr

 

Basic Job Functions:

Responsible to clean and sanitize production line filling hoppers and auxiliary equipment to prevent product contamination during the packaging process following Standard Operating Procedures in compliance with cGMP's and safety regulations. To receive training and gain familiarity in the operation and composition of packaging equipment in order to qualify for advancement.

 

Essential Functions of the Job:

  1. Sanitizer level and compensation will be determined by successful completion and verification of levels in the Sanitizer Skill Level Chart.

  2. Dismantle and properly reassemble hoppers, pumps and buffer tanks removing auger from hopper and “O” rings from pumps.

  3. Clean and sanitize machinery inside and outside including hopper, pumps and buffer tanks by applying hot water, Purified-water and alcohol with rags and brushes using pressure on the machinery to remove accumulated product and impurities.

  4. Inspect all disassembled parts, for wear and replace/order spare parts for inventory, as necessary.

  5. Clean up work area removing and storing cleaning utensils and solvents and disposing of soiled/used cleaners.

  6. Perform Preventive maintenance on equipment they have been trained on and properly document in all Log Books upon completion of tasks.

  7. Refill hopper with bulk product and slide up to 55 gallon drum full of material into position on the packaging line for automatic fill of conveyor belt product containers.

  8. Perform all jobs in a safe and efficient manner.

  9. Perform all other duties as assigned.

Packaging Line Worker (PA, Mainland)

 

Shifts available:

  • 2nd Shift, Sun-Thu or Mon-Fri, 2:45PM-11PM
  • 3rd Shift, Sun-Thu or Mon-Fri, 10:45PM-7AM

  • $14/hr on 2nd shift
  • $15/hr on 3rd shift

Shift available: 3rd shift, Monday-Friday 11PM-7AM

 

Pay Rate: 3rd shift - $17/hr, plus $2/hr shift differential

 

Basic Job Functions:

Responsible to perform the physical unloading, loading, transfer, storage, shipping, physical handling and movement of all materials throughout Accupac’s warehouse facilities.

 

Essential Functions of the Job:

  1. Warehouse Staff level and compensation will be determined by successful completion and verification of levels in the Warehouse Skill Level Chart.

  2. Load and unload trucks/trailers

  3. Prepare materials for proper identification, sampling and warehouse storage.

  4. Bar Code ticketing of all materials as per established procedures.

  5. Verify and sign delivering carrier’s Bills of Lading.

  6. Locate and transfer materials between the warehouse, manufacturing and production areas.

  7. Verify, count and inventory materials.

  8. Accurately report material locations through the effective use of the Bar Code Inventory System. Includes efficient use of Intermec PC unit.

  9. Proper daily maintenance and care of all warehouse materials handling equipment.

  10. Maintain constant good housekeeping and cleanliness in accordance with all cGMP and FDA regulations.Adhere to all Department and Company SOP’s.

  11. Accurately complete all Receiving Reports, Trailer Inspection Forms, Inter-company Transfer Sheets, Finished Goods Audit Lists, and distribute paperwork accordingly.

  12. Effectively verify and load outbound trailers (common carrier, contract, air freight).

  13. Stretch wrap pallets of raw materials, packaging components and finished goods.

  14. Comply with all safety rules and regulations.

  15. Accurately enter receiving reports into Accuterm.

Compounder (PA, Mainland)

Shift Available: 

  • Weekend A shift - Saturday, Sunday, and one weekday from 10AM-10PM. Work 3 days, have 4 days off per week!
  • Weekend B shift - Saturday, Sunday, and one week night from 10PM-10AM. Work 3 nights, have 4 nights off per week!

 

Pay Rate: $20/hr, work 36 hours per week, get paid for 40 hours! (Weekend A & B shifts)

                 

Basic Job Functions:

The Compounder is responsible for manufacturing a customer’s product by following a set of written instructions. This activity involves the interpretation and execution of written instructions that results in a bulk product that conforms to the customer’s specifications. The Manufacturing operation is performed in a manner that complies with Accupac’s SOP and the FDA’s Good Manufacturing Practices Regulations.

 

Essential Functions of the Job:

  • Compounder level and compensation will be determined by successful completion and verification of levels in the Compounder Skill Level Chart.

  • Clean and sanitize manufacturing related equipment and utensils.

  • Set-up manufacturing equipment to support a specific manufacturing operation.

  • Scan all labor activities into the central computer system.

  • Document all relative activities associated to the batch in respective equipment logbooks.

  • Verify that the manufacturing equipment is suitable for its intended use and that it has been cleaned & sanitized.

  • Verify that the information on the raw material Barcode Tickets and the manufacturing batch card are in agreement and have not expired.

  • Advise direct supervisor of any raw material information nonconformance and set the material aside for final disposition.

  • Follow the customer’s written instructions.Advise the immediate supervisor of all process deviations.

  • Advise the Quality Assurance Group when they can sample the completed bulk product.

  • Prepare bulk storage tanks for new product receipts.Participate in the unloading process of the receipt.

  • Perform the daily monitoring of manufacturing systems.

  • Provide the Quality Assurance Laboratory with routine DI Water samples.

  • Perform minor preventative maintenance tasks on the equipment.

  • Perform the scheduled / routine cleaning and painting of the manufacturing area and equipment.

  • Interface promptly and courteously with all Accupac, Inc. employees and visitors.

  • Perform all jobs in a safe and efficient manner.

  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Supply Chain Director (PA, Mainland)

Job Summary:

Leads all aspects of corporate supply chain function, including master scheduling, production planning, procurement, and logistics management (shipping, receiving, transportation and inventory) while optimizing the use of resources to achieve established delivery, lead-time, inventory, and cash flow objectives.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

· Maximize value to our customers by optimizing the flow of materials, production schedules, and inventory levels; aggressively reducing total cost of ownership for all purchased materials, equipment, and services; and optimizing logistics operations.

· Establishes, directs, and supports the team of schedulers/planners that develops and executes production, inventory, and material plans enabling them to provide accurate, timely, and professional completion of all aspects of day-to-day Scheduling and planning activities including:

· Working with project managers, procurement, operations, quality, and other internal customers to ensure planning/scheduling objectives are met.

· Driving adherence to monthly S&OP schedule

· Leading or participating in all required scheduling, S&OP, or planning meetings.

· Ensuring collaboration between planners, project managers, and procurement to understand customer demand, forecasts, and market drivers to facilitate a balancing of capacity (tank, line, and labor), inventory and delivery lead-time in the development of an accurate master production schedule and actionable site finite production plans.

· Ensures site finite scheduling is planned and executed to maximize resource utilization and throughput consistent with customer demand.

· Recommending and implementing inventory and production strategies that optimize resource usage and provide appropriate service levels to our customers under all demand patterns.

· Implements and oversees vendor or customer managed inventory programs.

· Manages the upkeep of both the demand and supply volume/variability analyses.

· Executes Rough Cut Capacity Planning (RCCP) for key resources (lines, individual machines, tanks, labor and materials) to establish that the Production Plan is achievable and to recommend the need for additional resources.

· Establishes, directs, and supports the team of Purchasing Agents, Buyers, and Expeditors responsible for purchasing all equipment, materials, and services for the Accupac organization, enabling them to provide accurate, timely, and professional completion of all aspects of day-to-day Procurement activities including:

· Working with suppliers, internal & external customers & peers to ensure Procurement objectives are met.

· Ensuring materials are procured to arrive in time for receipt, testing, and handling to be completed without interruption of the production schedule and within our inventory guidelines.

· Preparing and executing RFQ/RFPs as needed for equipment, services, or materials.

· Ensuring all procurement is done following proper cost management and allocation requirements.

· Ensuring integration and alignment between Procurement practices and Accupac Business Strategies.

· Ensuring all business transactions are conducted consistent with Accupac policies, procedures, & guidelines, legal requirements, regulations, and standards, and appropriate ethical standards.

· Driving comprehensive market-trend analysis and commodity-specific knowledge.

· Establishing and managing a robust supplier relationship management program to provide input and direction regarding supplier selection, surveys, and audits, feedback and documentation.

· Establishes, directs, and supports the team of Warehouse, Logistics, and Transportation team members responsible for storing, handling, transferring, shipping and receiving all materials and goods for the Accupac organization, enabling them to provide accurate, timely, and professional completion of all aspects of day-to-day logistics, warehouse and transportation activities including:

· Maintaining all raw materials, WIP, and finished goods inventory in excellent condition, with exceptional inventory accuracy, and with optimal use of resources including space, equipment, and labor.

· Ensuring accurate tracking and timely disposition of obsolete and slow-moving inventory

· Managing timely and accurate transfer of inventory between sites to support production needs

· Overseeing and executing effective cycle counting program

· Maintaining the overall condition of all warehouses and equipment in a neat, orderly, clean and fully compliant manner.

· For all areas of supply chain management, recommend and establish strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure Accupac targets are met, best practices are shared, processes remain stable and reliable, and expectations are made clear to all.

· Lead complex, cross-functional teams to establish comprehensive short- and long-term strategic direction for the supply chain issues.

· Continuously improve our Supply Chain processes by investing in our team and driving out waste, complexity, and variability.

· Drive the process to develop & retain staff: i.e.: training, development, appraisal, wage & salary administration, and hiring & terminating, ensuring total compatibility with overall company goals & performance.

· Establish meaningful performance metrics to ensure performance and drive continuous improvement.

· Develop effective scorecards to communicate goals and performance, and to promote shared understanding.

· Develop a Supply Chain training matrix to link Company strategy to performance execution through clear expectations of skills and abilities being defined, evaluated, developed and documented for all Supply Chain tasks.

· Participate in SCM initiatives and projects which may fall outside of day-to-day responsibilities.

Laboratory Investigator (NJ, Lakewood)

 

Basic Job Functions

Provide support to Laboratory Services (Laboratory investigations, review SOPs, protocols, reports, data, records generated and other quality-related documents) for the manufacturing and distribution of product.

Essential Functions of the Job

· Participate in analytical laboratory investigations (OOS) and other non-conformance investigations (NIR) as assigned

· Gather and analyze critical data generated by Lab Services (raw data, chromatography, calculations, data trend study) and review in LIMS

· Review Test methods and Laboratory notebooks and/or LIMS for accuracy

· Analyze instrument performance, column age, previous failures to support investigations

· Maintain and log LIR’s in spreadsheets to track the completion of the quality events

· Conduct personnel interviews and system reviews as a part of investigation

· Observe analytical testing for investigations

· Prepare investigation reports as per local SOP and FDA guidelines and confirm applicable approvals

· Compile documentation from Laboratories, Manufacturing, and Packaging to support investigations and quality events as needed

· Determine conclusions based on the analysis of the data, prepare investigation reports, and assign effective CAPAs

· Summarize and complete the Laboratory Investigation Report (LIR) with a scientific, assignable root cause. Complete and update the LIR spread sheets in a timely manner

· Communicate effectively with customers, project managers and Lab Management

· Assure timely closure of LIRs, CAPAs, assist in performing effectiveness checks

· Review records to ensure meets the industry requirements for data integrity - resolve any discrepancies

· Ensure procedures are followed as outlined per FDA, ICH, Standard Methods, SOPs, and the Quality Systems’ requirements

· Support Management with internal and external audits.

· Perform other quality-related duties as assigned.

· Maintain and Publish Monthly metrics on Laboratory investigation

Packaging Line Leader (PA, Mainland)

 

Available Schedule: 3rd Shift, Sun-Thu or Tue-Sat 10:45PM-7AM

Pay Rate:$16/hr plus $2/hr shift differential for 3rd shift

 

Basic Job Functions:

Responsible for the safe and successful operation of assigned production lines in compliance with quality standards, Good Manufacturing Practices, company SOPs and corporate policy while maintaining established production quotas.

 

Essential Functions of the Job:

  • Team Leader level and compensation will be determined by successful completion and verification of levels in the Team Leader Skill Level Chart.
  • Report to work at least 45 minutes prior to the start of the scheduled shift.
  • Follow line check-in procedures as specified in SOPs # QA0012 and PK0008.
  • Verify that the correct batch code is being printed on product by checking product drums or tanks supplying the line.
  • Verify that the package being produced is accurate according to customer specifications.
  • Assist the Packaging Supervisor in packaging line audits as needed.
  • Ensure that waste is kept within acceptable limits, offering suggestions for waste reduction, when possible.
  • Ensure that all assigned Line Workers and Material Handlers are working efficiently and safely.
  • Ensure that materials are being handled in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices, SOPs and current company policies.
  • Operate production lines so to achieve or exceed production standards for the output per man-hour and per line-hour.
  • Adjust machinery as necessary within parameters of training/ability.
  • Complete and affix Finished Goods tickets to pallets.
  • Complete and submit all required production documentation in compliance with cGMP and verify accuracy of all information.
  • Apprise Packaging Supervisor of relevant information regarding employee performance, machinery, safety and quality
  • Monitor the state of other packaging lines as needed.
  • Interact with customers who are in attendance for line tests and new product start-ups.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

 

Maintenance Mechanic (NJ, Lakewood)

Shift: 2nd

Basic Job Functions:

Performs mechanical set ups and maintenance tasks on assigned production lines to ensure its smooth operation. Is knowledgeable on each individual component of a production line and the correct set up for interaction and connection between them for maximum efficiency. Performs preventative maintenance and participates in training programs, as required.

 

Essential Functions of the Job:

  • Packaging Mechanic level and compensation will be determined by successful completion and verification of levels in the Packaging Mechanic Skill Level Chart.
  • Set up full line configurations of multiple pieces of equipment, independently
  • Supervise subordinate mechanical personnel and assist in trouble shooting and training
  • Generate Purchase Requisitions for materials and parts needed

Compounder (NJ, Lakewood)

 

Basic Job Functions:

The Compounder is responsible for manufacturing a customers product by following a set of written instructions. This activity involves the interpretation and execution of written instructions that results in a bulk product that conforms to the customers specifications. The Manufacturing operation is performed in a manner that complies with Accupacs SOP and the FDAs Good Manufacturing Practices Regulations.

 

Essential Functions of the Job:

  • Compounder level and compensation will be determined by successful completion and verification of levels in the Compounder Skill Level Chart.

  • Clean and sanitize manufacturing related equipment and utensils.

  • Set-up manufacturing equipment to support a specific manufacturing operation.

  • Scan all labor activities into the central computer system.

  • Document all relative activities associated to the batch in respective equipment logbooks.

  • Verify that the manufacturing equipment is suitable for its intended use and that it has been cleaned & sanitized.

  • Verify that the information on the raw material Barcode Tickets and the manufacturing batch card are in agreement and have not expired.

  • Advise direct supervisor of any raw material information nonconformance and set the material aside for final disposition.

  • Follow the customers written instructions.Advise the immediate supervisor of all process deviations.

  • Advise the Quality Assurance Group when they can sample the completed bulk product.

  • Prepare bulk storage tanks for new product receipts.Participate in the unloading process of the receipt.

  • Perform the daily monitoring of manufacturing systems.

  • Provide the Quality Assurance Laboratory with routine DI Water samples.

  • Perform minor preventative maintenance tasks on the equipment.

  • Perform the scheduled / routine cleaning and painting of the manufacturing area and equipment.

  • Interface promptly and courteously with all Accupac, Inc. employees and visitors.

  • Perform all jobs in a safe and efficient manner.

  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Pre Weigh Technician (NJ, Lakewood)

 

Job Openings: 2nd shift

Basic Job Functions:

Responsible for weighing raw materials to specific amounts that conform to the customers formula in a manner that complies with Accupacs Standard Operating Procedures and the FDAs Good Manufacturing Practice regulations.

 

Essential Functions of the Job:

  • Read, comprehend and interpret written instructions in order to obtain raw materials in quantities that conform to customer specifications.

  • Requisition raw materials to be weighed from the warehouse.

  • Make standard computations as required in customer specifications

  • Verify accuracy of raw material information and corresponding documentation

  • Communicate any variances, deviations or nonconformance issues to appropriate personnel

  • Follow all applicable SOPs, cGMPs, customer specifications and safety guidelines

  • Work with careful attention to detail

  • Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the chemweigh equipment and area

  • Create documentation for relative activities in respective logbooks.

  • Conduct routine inspections of scales

  • Work extended hours as required to meet project deadlines

  • Work closely with other departments to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Forklift Driver (NJ, Lakewood)

 

Basic Job Functions:

Responsible to perform the physical unloading, loading, transfer, storage, shipping, physical handling and movement of all materials throughout Accupacs warehouse facilities.

 

Essential Functions of the Job:

  1. Warehouse Staff level and compensation will be determined by successful completion and verification of levels in the Warehouse Skill Level Chart.

  2. Load and unload trucks/trailers

  3. Prepare materials for proper identification, sampling and warehouse storage.

  4. Bar Code ticketing of all materials as per established procedures.

  5. Verify and sign delivering carriers Bills of Lading.

  6. Locate and transfer materials between the warehouse, manufacturing and production areas.

  7. Verify, count and inventory materials.

  8. Accurately report material locations through the effective use of the Bar Code Inventory System. Includes efficient use of Intermec PC unit.

  9. Proper daily maintenance and care of all warehouse materials handling equipment.

  10. Maintain constant good housekeeping and cleanliness in accordance with all cGMP and FDA regulations.Adhere to all Department and Company SOPs.

  11. Accurately complete all Receiving Reports, Trailer Inspection Forms, Inter-company Transfer Sheets, Finished Goods Audit Lists, and distribute paperwork accordingly.

  12. Effectively verify and load outbound trailers (common carrier, contract, air freight).

  13. Stretch wrap pallets of raw materials, packaging components and finished goods.

  14. Comply with all safety rules and regulations.

  15. Accurately enter receiving reports into Accuterm.
