J.H. Whitney & Company, a firm that specializes in the recapitalization of mature companies. Through the partnership, Accupac continues their commitment to growth and superior customer service.
Accupac Adds Lakewood Facility
Accupac opens a 221,000 sq. ft. facility in Lakewood, NJ, doubling its capacity and expanding manufacturing capabilities to include ingestibles, large-scale soap and body washes, and striped toothpaste.
Accupac Makes Capital Improvements
Significant investments are made to our physical plant, systems, equipment, automation and personnel. Improvements include advanced scheduling and MRP systems, new manufacturing area with larger capacity tanks, packaging operations to upgraded cGMP standards, an additional 100,000 sq. ft. of warehouse space, and state-of-the-art chemical weigh suites.
Accupac Acquired by H.I.G.
Accupac is acquired by H.I.G. Capital, a firm specializing in improving value in mid-sized companies. Immediate improvements in operations, sales, and facility resources are made in order to substantially increase and expand manufacturing capacity. In turn, Accupac drives significant growth in new and existing customers.
Prescription Drug Market
Accupac enters the prescription drug arena, expanding our capabilities. Additionally, manufacturing and packaging equipment is retooled to include high-speed packaging lines, large mixers, and other technologies.
Expanding Services and Capabilities
Services are expanded to include the manufacturing of the products we package, including creams, lotions, and toothpastes. Additional improvements include fully outfitted chemistry and microbiology labs, as well as a bar code inventory system.
New Plant Location
Accupac quickly outgrows its original space and moves to our current location in Mainland, PA. The new space accommodates larger and better-equipped laboratories, and a new manufacturing department is established.
